Job Description

• In general, to assist client project management team in technical aspect (Mechanical & Electrical).
• MEP Engineer to review and provide justification (with budgetary cost and lead time) on design amendment required to meet site constraint / conditions so that Client can approve them as design change. Design changes on design schematic and system architecture will be done by the Client. Design changes on site coordinated services will be developed by the   Engineer and send to the client for approval.
• MEP Engineer to review and recommend to Client for approval of material submission by contractors
• MEP Engineer to endorse on submission of regulated material by Contractors and Equipment Vendors
• Contractor will resolve service clashes among trade contractors and present to   MEP Engineer for review.   MEP Engineer will recommend the approval of services clashes resolution to the Client for approval
• MEP Engineer to validate and endorse on the accuracy of as-built, material, equipment model and capacity supplied and installed on site
• MEP Engineer to review and signed off method of statement, material spec and detail drawing to ensure that installation is done correctly for MEP services, this includes but not limited to cable installation in trefoil arrangement, cable of parallel UPS are of equal impedance to ensure equal loading, refrigerant pipe arrangement is free from single point of failure, and quality of embedded services
• MEP Engineer to conduct daily inspection on site and provide assurance of the quality of work by the contractors and Equipment Vendors.
• MEP Engineer to report directly to Client Project Director
• MEP Engineer to provide weekly report to Client Project Manager
• MEP Engineer to attend weekly Project Meetings and Design Meetings
• MEP Engineer shall be full time on site.
• MEP Engineer shall have minimum 10 years experience with local Malaysia technical site construction experience.

Education Requirements 

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering for Engineer Level.
• Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering for Inspector of Work (IoW) Level
• Must registered with BEM as graduate engineer or inspector of work.
   

Preferable Skills

• Has experienced in data center project is advantage but not a must.
• Must able to converse in Mandarin language.
