Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced QAQC Technician to join our team and lead quality assurance and quality control operations for drilling and completion equipment in the oil and gas sector. This is a critical role requiring deep technical expertise and a proven track record of maintaining the highest industry standards.

Key Requirements

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years total experience in the Oil and Gas industry
• Minimum 5 years documented QA/QC experience specifically in Drilling and Completion Equipment
• Minimum 2 years direct work experience with our contractor

Core Technical Competencies

You will demonstrate proficiency across the following areas:

Downhole Equipment & Drilling Tools

• DS-1™ Fourth Edition inspection and certification of downhole equipment
• Drill string and downhole tool inspection
• Safe lifting procedures and DNV/BS EN specifications compliance

Wellhead & Completion Systems

• Wellhead equipment, Christmas trees, valves, casing and tubing hangers
• Running tools, FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), and NDE (Non-Destructive Examination) of critical components
• Hydrostatic and stack-up testing protocols

OCTG (Oil Country Tubular Goods)

• API specifications and maintenance standards knowledge
• Premium thread connection expertise
• Comprehensive inspection: VTI, visual body inspection, full-length API drifting, full-length MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspection)

Completion Equipment

• Sub-assembly inspection and evaluation
• FAT and SIT (Site Acceptance Testing) of completion systems

Well Testing & Pressure Equipment

• Piping inspection and equipment certification
• Pressure vessel inspection for well testing equipment

Specialized Systems

• MPD (Managed Pressure Drilling) and RCD (Rotating Control Device) equipment: piping, hose inspection, and equipment certification
• MPD riser joints, umbilicals, valve control panels, and associated equipment
• SIT and FAT execution for MPD systems

Connections & Threading

• Rotary Shouldered Connections with API thread forms
• Machine shop repair, re-manufacture, and gauging capabilities
• Premium connection evaluation (Grant Prideco, VAM, Hydril)
• Threading processes, gauge calibration, and final acceptance inspection

Quality Systems & Compliance

• Downhole tool and OCTG witnessing, monitoring, inspection, and manufacturing oversight
• Service provider QAQC program audits and quality system assessments
• Non-conformance reporting and closure management
• Proficiency with latest editions: API Spec 5CT, API Spec Q1, API RP 7G, API RP 7G-2, API RP 5A5, NS-2™, and DS-1™
