To support the growth of our Certification business in Brunei and East Malaysia, we are expanding our network of qualified Auditors / Trainers on a freelance/contract basis. We are seeking experienced professionals who are passionate about auditing, compliance, and helping organizations achieve excellence through internationally recognized management systems and certification standards. The role supports certification, training, and related technical activities across multiple industries and certification schemes.  

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Conduct audits, training, and related technical activities for certification and training projects. 

  • Conduct certification audits by assessing compliance against applicable standards, leading client audit activities, documenting findings and non-conformities, and preparing audit reports and related technical documentation. 

  • Support certification, verification, training, and related technical assignments. 

  • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, impartiality, and confidentiality. 

  • Travel within Brunei, Sabah, Sarawak, and other locations as required for project assignments. 

 

Areas of Expertise

  • ISO 9001 - Quality Management Systems 

  • ISO 14001 - Environmental Management Systems 

  • ISO 45001 - Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems 

  • ISO 29001 - Oil & Gas Industry Quality Management Systems 

  • ISO/IEC 27001 - Information Security Management Systems 

  • ISO 37001 - Anti-Bribery Management Systems 

  • ISO 14064 / ISO 14067 - Greenhouse Gas & Carbon Verification 

  • IATF 16949 - Automotive Quality Management Systems 

  • HACCP  

  • FSSC 22000 

  • FSC Chain of Custody (FSC CoC) 

  • Sustainability and ESG-related standards 

  • Other certification, verification, inspection, or industry-specific schemes as relevant to your expertise 

 

Requirements 

  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Science, Environmental Management, Food Technology, Information Technology, Quality Management, Business Management, or a related discipline. 

  • A recognized Lead Auditor or Lead Assessor qualification 

  • Relevant auditing, certification, consulting, inspection, or industry experience. 

  • Strong technical expertise within your area of specialization. 

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills. 

  • Ability to work independently and professionally with clients. 

  • Willingness to travel based on assignment requirements. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience conducting third-party certification audits. 

  • Multi-standard audit competency. 

  • HRDC accreditation (trainer) 

  • Experience working within Brunei and East Malaysia industries and business sectors. 

  • Existing expertise within sustainability, ESG, food safety, manufacturing, oil & gas, construction, infrastructure, forestry, agriculture, ICT, logistics, or related sectors.
