Responsibilities

• Carry out surveys, draw up and send relevant reports to the Operational Manager, in compliance with the FM procedures. 
• Assess the conditions necessary for carrying out surveys to the expected quality level, against own abilities, availability and the conditions onboard. 
• Ensure the quality of services. 
• Provide information and support necessary to CDs, NS operation managers, SSQMs, MOCs and MOs as concerns missions involving them. 
• To assist ship owner/ship manager in day-to-day operation. 

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Marine Engineering / Naval Architecture or Certificate of Competency Cllass 1 or 2.
• Minimum 2 years relevant working experience as full fledge Marine surveyor in a classification body; or
• At least 5 years working experience as seafaring foreign going engineer and/or Technical Superintendent, with additional 2 years’ experience as Marine Surveyor in classification body.
• Able to exercise sound judgment (rules compliance vis a vis safety)
• Knowledge of BV quality systems and BV tools
