 Responsibilities (Obligation to ensure that the action is taken):

  • To provide conformity assessment services related to electrical and instrumentation within BV Malaysia and SEA region.
  • To carry out technical inspection and evaluation against Code, Client Specification and contractual requirement.
  • To attend inspection request that authorised by line manager
  • To submit a report, certificates, timesheet and other applicable documents to an agreed format or BV report format within 48 hours to BV office.
  • To provide excellent services to client in order to ensure business sustainability.
  • To adhere to BV Code of Ethic at all time.

 

Accountabilities (Answerable to a particular activity/action to a particular entity):

  • To carry out inspection under the requirements of International Standards and Codes.
  • Work closely with Operation Manager to ensure business targets are met.
  • Deliver consistent technical advice to client and identify potential for improvement.
  • Aiding other junior inspection engineers with their contracts / projects.
  • Form good working relationships with clients.
  • Pursue potential new clients and actively seek new business
  • Understand financial goals of the team and to support it strongly.
  • Attend client meetings to deliver services according to client requirement and specification.
  • Able to resolve problems within own work activities.
  • Proactively manages own work and resolves conflicting issue to meet deadlines without compromising work quality
  • Able to identify routine problem and provide professional advice to management or client.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to adapt and respond new process or system

Requirements:

  • SPM Cert; with minimum experience of 8 years
  • Diploma Engineering; with minimum experience of 5 years
  • Degree Engineering; with minimum experience of 3 years
  • Other certs; Shop Inspection Guidelines Test, Welding Cert CSWIP 3.1
  • Language: Fluent in English
  • Computer: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

  • strong knowledge in oil and gas market, willing to share knowledge
  • General working knowledge on material, component and pressure equipment both onshore and offshore.
  • Work requires local and overseas travel and may require evening and weekend work.
  • Work requires willingness to work at flexible schedule.
  • Familiarity with international code and standard.
