ROLE PURPOSE

 

Bureau Veritas Malta Oil and Petrochemicals (also known locally as Inspectorate Malta Ltd), is currently recruiting inspectors to work in the Oil & Petrochemical Industry on a full-time basis. The individual must be flexible, enthusiastic and committed to work in a challenging environment with the will to learn a variety of operations.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

· Preference will be given to applicants with seafaring experience in the merchant industry and/or Petroleum inspector experience

· A good command of the English language

· To be capable in Spreadsheet/Microsoft excel applications and demonstrate a adequate level of computer literacy

· To have satisfactory knowledge of Mathematics and Physics;

· To be an effective communicator

· To be a team player

· Be immune to seasickness

· To be ready to work under duress and in difficult situations

· To possess a clean driving license;

· Health and Safety compliance is essential in all times. It is of utmost importance that the chosen candidate complies with all the company safety, housekeeping policies and report any unsafe conditions.

· To be ready to work flexible days and hours. The employee must be able to adapt to irregular and long working hours, without any fixed schedules. Work timings may include weekends, nights and full days offshore

 

 

RESPONSIBILITES

 

· Measurement and sampling of petroleum products (Diesel, Gasoline etc.) stored in cargo tanks of ocean-going tankers

· Supervising the transfer of oil from vessel to vessel or vessel to shore terminals

· Loss control and supervision of oil cargo transfer in bulk

· To prepare reports for the jobs conducted
