Purpose of Position


- The Mechanical Inspector is responsible for Inspection, assessment, and analysis of verity of mechanical equipment and structure.

- Able to perform Supplier Technical Assessment, Expediting and complex equipment Inspections with minimal supervision.

- The position performs in line with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy.

 

Major Responsibilities

 

Performing Inspections as per applicable Guidelines and Reference procedures and standards.

•Conduct comprehensive inspections of non-metallic FRP/GRP piping systems to ensure they meet specified quality and safety standards.

•Review engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements to understand inspection parameters.

•Identify, document, and report any defects or non-compliance issues observed during inspections.

•Maintain accurate records of inspection results and prepare detailed reports for project and client review.

•Execution of inspection reporting including treatment of non-conformities (NCR’s) and other applicable deliverables

•Ensuring quality of inspection according to BV Quality System

•Interpretation of results of inspections

•Maintaining internal and external communication

•Promotes BV portfolio to clients

•Respects security guidelines of BV and safeguards personal security in the working environment

•Actively participates in the sharing of knowledge and information

•Continuous learning and developing in his area of responsibility

•Authorized to exercise stop work authority if an unsafe condition is identified.

•Identify gaps between current and future state while outlining the required strategies to achieve the desired future state.

•Manage changing priorities to complete project delivery within defined constraints.

•Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment, deadlines and new challenges.

•Desire to work within a collaborative, team environment where all Team Members are encouraged to identify solutions.

•Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and professional experience on an agile team

•Ability to identify and implement solutions with minimum supervision.

•Keen interest in improving solutions; the ability to maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude.

•Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment.

•Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting.

•Perform additional tasks as directed by the client, project/department manager and back office team.

•Actively participates in the exchange of knowledge and information.

 

 

Qualification and Experience


- Bachelor Degree / Diploma

- 10 years of experience

 

 

Skills & Qualities:.

 

•Relevant Certification (CSWIP / BGAS / NACE / ASNT / API)

•Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to explain complex ideas simply and concisely.

•Demonstrated commitment to continued learning on the job.

•Results driven and tenacious.

•Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical team members.
