Technical Supervisor - Khobar

Purpose of Position

- Ensuring that complex projects, materials, and processes comply with safety codes, industry standards, and contract specifications.

- The position performs in line with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy.

Major Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive inspections and audits of onshore and offshore drilling units to verify compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
• Monitor and inspect API-regulated equipment, including derricks/masts (API 4G), hoisting tools (API 8C), drilling machinery (API 7K), and blow-out preventer systems (API 16A/16C).
• Evaluate pressure control equipment functionality and verify the integrity of well control barriers.
• Generate detailed inspection reports, identify non-conformances, and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability and safety.
• Implement and monitor compliance with ISO 9001 standards during inspection processes. 

Qualification and Experience

-  Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, Marine, or Metallurgical/Materials Engineering.

- 15+ years of experience in rig inspection, drilling equipment integrity, and onshore/offshore rig audits.

Skills & Qualities:
 Certifications:

-IWCF or IADC Well Control Certification (Supervisor level preferred).

-OPITO‑approved BOSIET/FOET for offshore operations.

-API equipment/rig standards training (API 4G, 7K, 8C, 16A/16C) – awareness or certification.

-ISO 9001 awareness (added advantage).

-Training: ISO 9001 awareness (added advantage).
