Senior FLS Engineer

Specialty:

1. Sound Knowledge on fire engineering plans review.

2. Sound Knowledge on relative codes and Standard such as SBC (Especially 201 & 801), IBC, IFC and NFPA.

3. Sound Knowledge of regulations and standard established by Saudi Civil Defense and HCIS requirements

Education Degree:

Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or Fire Science or Mechanical/Electrical/Architectural engineering disciplines.

Technical knowledge:

• Reviewing/Inspecting all fire protection systems and procedures are aligned with the codes.

• Proficiency in using relevant engineering software and tools for fire protection analysis and design.

• Strong communication skills, including written & verbal English 

• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Experience:

10 to 15+ years of experience minimum in relevant (fire protection engineering) work experience.

Primary Functions:

• Conduct fire and life safety assessments for buildings, facilities, and infrastructure projects.

• Design and analyze fire protection systems, including fire detection, alarm, and suppression systems.

• Collaborate with architects, builders, and other stakeholders to integrate fire protection measures into building designs.

• Perform risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate fire hazards in various environments.

• Ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code, NFPA and other related standards.

• Conduct site inspections and audits to verify the implementation of fire protection measures.

• Strong knowledge of fire dynamics, smoke management, and evacuation planning.

• Familiarity with building construction materials, systems, and codes.

Technical Expertise:

• ***MUST - Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) Certification (or) Equivalent
