Purpose of Position
- Ensuring that installation, materials, and testing comply with international standards and project specifications.
- The position performs in line with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy.
Major Responsibilities
- Monitor FRP manufacturing, curing, and structural integrity, ensuring compliance with design specifications and ASME standards.
- Perform visual inspections for defects (e.g., delamination, cracks), check reinforcement, and verify resin, glass content, and curing.
- Conduct or supervise non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques like barcol hardness testing, hammer sounding (tap testing) for delamination, and hydrotesting.
- Inspect surface preparation and application of materials during repairs to ensure structural integrity.
- Generate detailed reports, checklists, and documentation of all findings, maintaining records of compliance.
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- 8+ years of relevant experience
Skills & Qualities:
-Preferably certified to API 570 – Piping Inspector.
-Knowledge of codes, such as ASME Sec I, V, VIII and IX, ANSI B31.1/3/4/8, NACE, DIN and AWS D1.1, and testing equipment including Positive Material Identification test equipment required for the inspection of mechanical commodities such as pipes, fittings and pressure boundary components. He should be aware about the specifications and requirements for field testing of valves.

He should be aware of different types & classification of piping materials, gaskets, valves, supports and fittings.
-He should be aware about the care required for in line instruments, precision valves, pipe supports and connected equipment during fabrication, welding, installation, heat treatment, pressure testing and flushing of the piping.
-Knowledge of non-metallic piping, its materials, fabrication, inspection and testing. Knowledge of the contents of the test pack before leak testing and the significance of each content is compulsory.
-Knowledge of safety requirements during pressure testing is a must.
-Thorough knowledge of the contents of tie in packages. Knowledge of hot tie in and cold tie in packages.
-Review of related procedures and maintaining of inspection records.
