Background in Field work/ projects handling

Education Degree:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent or related field to his or her specialty.

Technical knowledge:

Understanding of Safety in field, risk and hazard identification, HSE, communication skills, including written & verbal English

Experience:

Minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience

Primary Functions:

1. Work Permit Management

  • Receive, review, and understand the Work Permit (PTW) issued by Saudi Aramco.
  • Ensure all permits are valid, correctly filled, and approved before starting any work.
  • Verify that required risk assessments, job hazard analysis (JHA), and method statements are in place.
  • Coordinate with the Permit Issuer, Supervisor, and Safety Officers to comply with work conditions.

2. Safety Compliance & Hazard Management

  • Ensure work is carried out in compliance with Saudi Aramco’s safety standards (GI, SAES, SAEP, and HSE guidelines).
  • Conduct job site inspections to verify compliance with permit conditions, PPE, fire watch, confined space, hot work, excavation, and LOTO procedures.
  • Stop any unsafe activity and report immediately to relevant authorities.
  • Ensure all necessary safety equipment, tools, and procedures are in place.

3. Communication & Coordination

  • Act as a bridge between site personnel, permit issuers, supervisors, and safety officers.
  • Clearly explain the work permit requirements, limitations, and conditions to the team.
  • Attend permit coordination meetings, toolbox talks, and pre-job safety briefings.
  • Maintain clear communication during work execution, work suspensions, or changes in job scope.

4. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain an up-to-date permit log and ensure all permits are returned/closed properly after work completion.
  • Ensure that the worksite is inspected and signed off before permit closure.
  • Record any violations, near-misses, or incidents and report to the HSE team.
  • Keep copies of permits, risk assessments, and safety documents for audit purposes.

5. Worksite Inspection & Monitoring

  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with permit conditions.
  • Verify that isolation, barricades, fire blankets, and gas testing procedures are properly implemented.
  • Ensure all personnel at the worksite understand and follow Aramco’s safety standards.
  • Check that all required authorizations, approvals, and work notifications are obtained before proceeding.

6. Emergency Preparedness

  • Ensure workers understand emergency evacuation procedures.
  • Ensure availability of fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and emergency contacts at the site.
  • Act as the first point of contact for emergency response in case of an incident.

Technical Expertise:

Have sound knowledge of QHSSE; relevant field experience

Business Requirements:

  • Able to manage the assigned tasks in a timely manner and up to the quality standard.
  • Report timely the results with accuracy
  • Collaborate with team for monitoring, training and adequacy
  • Follow Management directions and guidance.
  • Deliver assigned tasks within time.
  • Strong influencing skills and the ability to persuade people to adopt good practice
  • Valid KSA driving license
