1.1. Position Inspector – Electrical/ Instrumentation
1.2. Location Tabuk, Neom
1.3. Reporting to Manager - Project
1.4. Key Working Relationship Project manager, project Coordinator, Site Coordinator, Teammates, Team Leader, and Client.
2.1. Specialty Electrical Engineering
2.2. Education Degree Diploma (minimum) or Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
2.4. Technical knowledge Thorough knowledge of the National Electric Code/NFPA 70, or equivalent standards.
2.5. Experience Minimum 5 years of experience
3.1. Primary Functions
The Inspector shall inspect and monitor NGHC Projects in relation to the Quality Assurance and Quality Control; escalate non-compliance and violation of scope, codes, and standards; reviews Project Quality Documents and performs other tasks in relation of Projects Quality in area of his or her specialty.
Review of applicable contractual requirements (technical standards, specifications etc.)
Review of QHSE drawings / files / plans and the relevant procedures review and validation of inspection assignment documentation (technical aspects, reference documentation, schedules, drawings, milestones, reporting, logistics, coordination procedure, etc.)
Execution or supervision of inspection according to predefined Project Quality plan and the established inspection procedures / techniques.
Monitor equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper Installation, operation and calibration using inspection procedures, protocol, and checklists.
Execution of inspection reporting including Non-Conformities (NCR’s) and other applicable deliverables, treatment and closing of non-Conformities / corrective actions
Interpretation of results of survey or inspection
Respects security guidelines of BV and safeguards personal security in the working environment.
Coordination with Client Representative for handing over the new Work Inspection Requests (WIR), close the rejected WIR,
Initiating internal Inspection reports/INCR’s to construction crew for effective implementation of project quality plan, ITP’s, Method Statements, written procedures, project specifications, Manufacturers' recommendations, Shop drawings etc.
Preparing routine inspection reports and conducting meetings with construction team for further vigilance to the potential problems which must be tackled accordingly to avoid any future non‐conformities.
Accurately document the results/comments of the inspections and testing.
Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action and raise reports about all site inspections, disqualified site workmanship and materials to the Project Quality manager.
Prepare Weekly/Monthly Quality reports with applicable Project established KPIs
3.2. Technical Expertise
The inspector shall have technical expertise in electrical installations including materials, methods, specifications, and hazardous location identification for oil and gas or petrochemical industries.
The inspector must be NFPA 70 Certified or equivalent.
The inspector shall satisfy the requirements of a fully qualified Instrument Technician/ Engineer meeting the requirements laid out by the Instrument Society of America or the Institute of Measurement Control.
3.4. QHSSE Responsibilities
Implementing BV safety programs within the team
Comply at all times with all applicable legal requirements, BV HSE
Policies, procedures and practices.
Maintain personal work areas tidy and hazard free and report any deviation/fault/hazard immediately to the location manager/line manager/HSE Representative
Report immediately to HSE Representative any newly identified hazard and participate in devising suitable operational control to eliminate/minimize the pertinent risk.
Report immediately to HSE Representative any HSE incident and cooperate in investigating Reporting all incidents and taking action whenever they see an unsafe act or condition
Take care of your own health and safety and that of people who may be affected by what you do (or do not do).
Co-operate with others on health and safety, and not interfere with, or misuse, anything provided for your health, safety or welfare.
