1.1.    Position:    MECHANICAL & WELDING INSPECTOR
1.2.    Office:     Tabuk, Neom
1.3.    Reporting to:    Project Manager / Director
1.4.    Key Working Relationship    Project manager, project Coordinator, Site Coordinator, Teammates, Team Leader, and Client.

2.1.    Education:    Engineering Degree/ Diploma
2.2.    Skills:    Inspection - Reporting – Communication - Internet & Microsoft Office.
2.3.    Technical knowledge:

  •  Inspector shall be certified as an American Welding Society (AWS) CWI, CSWIP 3.2 Certified Welding Inspector, or NGHC approved equivalent. 
  •  Inspector shall have a demonstrated background and thorough knowledge of codes such as American National Standards Institute (ANSI) B 31.3, 31.4 and 31.8, ASME Section V and IX, API 510, 570, 620 and 650, AWS D1.1, required for the execution of the WORK. 
  •  He must be NACE Corrosion Certified Technologist. 

2.4.    Experience

  •  Minimum 5 years of experience in the industrial, energy and power projects.

3.1.    Primary Functions    

  •  Mechanical & Welding Inspector will be responsible for update, assessment, and analysis of inspection and integrity management activities. Shall be able to perform a variety of complex functions with minimal supervision.

3.2.    Technical Expertise

  •  Mechanical & Welding Inspector must have an Engineering degree or diploma in Mechanical/Metallurgical discipline with a minimum of 4 years experience in the industrial, energy and power projects inspection. 
  •  shall be able to perform all types of equipment/ piping inspection that require the use of calipers, micrometers, infrared camera, borescope, pit gauges, etc., to ensure continued safe operation; tests and inspections on equipment that has been repaired or modified to assure that the equipment is suitable for intended service.
  •   Must be familiar with relevant API standards such as API510/570/653/598/572/576 etc. 
  •  Inspectors must be able to prepare inspection reports & provide recommendations after inspections.

3.3.    HSE Requirements    

  •  Always comply with all applicable legal requirements, BV HSE Policies, procedures, and practices. 
  •  Maintain personal work areas tidy, hazard free and report any deviation/fault/hazard immediately to the location manager/line manager/HSE Representative
  •  Report immediately to HSE Representative any newly identified hazard and participate in devising suitable operational control to eliminate/minimize the pertinent risk.
  •  Report immediately to HSE Representative any HSE near miss, incident and cooperate in the investigation
  •  Report all incidents, near misses and take action whenever encounter unsafe act or condition 
  •  Take care of your own health and safety and that of people who may be affected by what you do (or do not do). 
  •  Co-operate with others on health and safety, do not interfere with, or misuse, anything provided for your health, safety, or welfare.
