About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our IDI Technical Control team across our locations in Qassim, Riyadh, and Hail. The successful candidate will perform technical site inspections, review project documentation, and ensure compliance with engineering standards and codes. This role requires strong technical capability, communication skills, and the ability to work closely with inspectors, team leaders, and IDI management.
 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Site Inspections & Reporting

  • Perform assigned IDI site inspections in accordance with project requirements.
  • Prepare and submit inspection reports on the same day of inspection.
  • Coordinate with clients prior to inspections and ensure timely attendance.
  • Review all related project documents and prepare IDI reports as needed.
  • Review previously issued reports to understand project conditions.
  • Correct or adjust inspection reports when required.

 

Technical Duties

  • Interpret inspection results and verify non-conformities and corrective actions.
  • Provide technical control for building projects, including:
    • Structural works (soil, foundations, reinforced and pre-stressed concrete, steel structures).
    • Building envelope systems (curtain walls, waterproofing, stone cladding, etc.).
  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by the direct supervisor within scope of competency.

 

QHSSE Responsibilities

  • Adhere to BV (Bureau Veritas) safety policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
  • Maintain a safe, tidy, and hazard-free work environment.
  • Immediately report hazards, deviations, faults, and incidents to the HSE Representative.
  • Cooperate in incident investigations and take action to prevent unsafe conditions.
  • Take responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others.

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in building project inspections and reviews.

 

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of construction site inspections.
  • Familiarity with structural and building envelope codes and standards.
  • Ability to assess non-conformities and recommend corrective actions.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of engineering software such as ETABS, SAFE, etc.
