Role Purpose
The Contracts Manager is responsible for leading the organization’s contracts management function, overseeing the full contract lifecycle from pre-award to close-out. This role ensures that all contracts are commercially sound, legally compliant, and aligned with organizational objectives while mitigating risk and maximizing value.
Focus: Execution & support
- Owns the contracting function end-to-end: policy, standards, execution, and continuous improvement.
- Reviews, negotiates, and drafts contracts across all business lines, including complex and high-value engagements.
- Builds and maintains contracting policies, playbooks, and standard templates for the region.
Key Responsibilities
1. Contracting & Risk Management
- Partner with Sales Heads, Commercial, and Business Line teams across KSA and Bahrain to manage the full contracting lifecycle.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual, commercial, operational, and compliance risks in customer and supplier agreements.
- Review, negotiate, and draft contracts, including deviations and exceptions to tenders, RFPs, and RFQs.
- Assess new scopes of services and projects to ensure appropriate terms, liabilities, and risk allocations are embedded from the outset.
2. Standards, Governance & Compliance

Ensure compliance with BV internal policies, global legal standards, and applicable local regulations (KSA and Bahrain).
- Support consistent application of contracting standards across business lines and locations.
3. Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Legal, Finance (including Tax), HSE, Procurement & Sourcing, and Operations to ensure risks are properly addressed before contract execution.
- Support commercial decision-making by balancing legal risk, business priorities, and client expectations.
4. Contract Administration, Claims & Lifecycle Management
- Manage and oversee contract records in BV contract management databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Support management of informal claims, disputes, or contractual issues, escalating to the Legal Department where required.
- Conduct post-award contract reviews, support contract closure activities, and follow up on remedial action plans.
5. Training, Audits & Knowledge Sharing
- Deliver or support training sessions and workshops on contracting standards, processes, and risk awareness.
- Conduct periodic contracting audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.

Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement in contracting efficiency and risk management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Candidates without a law degree should hold relevant professional certifications in contract management, commercial law, or a related discipline.
- 8–10 years of experience in contract management, commercial management, or a related function in TIC, oil & gas, engineering, or professional services.
- Proven experience developing contracting policies, standard templates, and governance frameworks.
- Experience supporting tenders, bids, and major proposal processes.
- Solid understanding of commercial risk management, contract lifecycle management, and regional regulatory requirements.
- Strong negotiation, drafting, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and cross‑functional teams
- High attention to detail with a practical, business‑oriented mindset
- Fluency in English and Arabic
