Environmental Manager - Riyadh

Purpose of Position

• To ensure an organization operates sustainably and legally by developing, implementing, and monitoring environmental strategies, policies, and systems that minimize negative impacts, control pollution, manage waste, and achieve compliance with complex environmental laws and regulations,
• The position performs in line with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy.

Major Responsibilities

• Fulltime Environmental supervision.
• Responsible for environmental compliance, Analysis,
• document review
• Coordination and direct interaction with PMC.
• Custodian of key environmental reporting.
• Digital Reporting Platform (Monitor-pro)

Qualification and Experience

• MSc/BSc in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering
• 10 years and above with 3 years of relevant KSA experience and relevant project management qualifications
  
  

Skills & Qualities:

• Knowledgeable of necessary requirements, as determined by NCEC and other applicable competent authorities, in securing the renewals / extensions of environmental permits, and other approvals as required, to prevent disruption to production and construction activities.
• Develop mitigation measures and monitor plans to PMCs through induction and training delivery.
• Management of environmental training delivery, and delivering toolbox talks to staff and subcontractor representatives as required.
• Aggregate data from contractors via the PMCs in terms of waste recycling / disposal, chemicals consumption on site.
• Data Analysis and Digital Reporting Platform (Monitor-pro)
• Construction Safety
• Preparation of Annual Environmental Performance Report to fulfil NCEC requirements, and upload/ officially submit on NCEC’s portal.
• Incident / Accident investigation and statistical analysis.
• Develop mechanisms for efficient weekly and monthly environmental monitoring and reporting.
• Risk Assessment and Management,Hazard Identification
• Safety Management Systems (SMS).
• Emergency Preparedness and Response: Knowledge of emergency response procedures, including evacuation plans, first aid protocols.
