Power & Utilities Technical Engineer

Position Overview

Bureau Veritas Saudi Arabia is seeking a commercially driven and technically competent Power & Utilities Technical Sales professional to support the growth of its Power & Utilities business across Saudi Arabia.

The successful candidate will combine technical expertise with business development capabilities to identify opportunities, build client relationships, develop technical and commercial proposals, and promote Bureau Veritas' consultancy, technical advisory, inspection, and asset integrity services across the Power Generation, Transmission & Distribution, Renewable Energy, Water, and Utilities sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within the Power & Utilities sector.
• Develop and maintain relationships with utilities, developers, EPC contractors, industrial clients, and government authorities.
• Promote Bureau Veritas services including Owner's Engineer (OE), Independent Engineer (IE), Technical Advisory, Technical Due Diligence, Inspection, Asset Integrity, and Project Support Services.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals and participate in tendering activities.
• Support account development, client engagement, and cross-selling initiatives.
• Act as the primary client interface for consultancy and advisory opportunities.
• Coordinate with technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions and project support.
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, workshops, and industry events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or related discipline.
• Approximately 10+ years of experience within the Power & Utilities sector.
• Proven experience in Technical Sales, Business Development, Consultancy, Technical Advisory, Inspection, Asset Integrity, Utilities, EPC, or Developer organizations.
• Strong experience in proposal preparation, tendering, and client relationship management.
• Knowledge of Power Generation, Transmission & Distribution, Renewable Energy, Solar PV, Wind, BESS, and Water & Utilities Infrastructure.
• Good understanding of international standards such as IEC, IEEE, ISO, NFPA, and ASME.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and commercial negotiation skills.
• Existing network with utilities, developers, EPC contractors, and energy-sector stakeholders in Saudi Arabia is highly preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Owner's Engineer (OE) and/or Independent Engineer (IE) assignments.
• Renewable Energy projects including Solar, Wind, and BESS.
• Power Generation, Transmission & Distribution projects.
• Previous Seller-Doer experience combining business development with technical delivery.
