The Local Accounting Admin is responsible for supporting the finance function with a strong focus on accounting operations, financial accuracy, and compliance, alongside coordination of finance-related administrative processes.
Responsibilities and main activities:
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice verification, posting, and reconciliations
- Maintain general ledger accuracy, prepare journal entries, and perform monthly reconciliations (bank, intercompany, suppliers, clients)
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities (accruals, provisions, cut-off)
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax requirements, and group policies
- Monitor outstanding receivables and support collections follow-up
- Contribute to statutory reporting and preparation of tax-related data (e.g., VAT)
- Maintain proper documentation, audit trails, and internal controls; support internal and external audits
- Support preparation of financial reports, forecasts, and basic analysis
- Administer financial documentation and maintain ERP/accounting systems data accuracy
- Collaborate with internal teams (SSC, finance, operations) and support process improvements and finance projects
Required Qualifications
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles (AP, AR, GL, reconciliations)
- Experience in financial accounting or similar role
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail
- Good command of ERP systems and MS Excel
- Ability to meet deadlines in a structured closing environment
- Good communication skills
- English – advanced level (will be a plus)
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience with month-end closing processes
- Knowledge of local GAAP / IFRS basics
- Exposure to audit processes and internal controls
- Experience in international / shared services environments
