As we continue to develop Marine & Offshore activities, we are delighted to offer a unique opportunity to join our organisation as Drone Pilot for Marine operations. Position is located within our Cape Town office in South Africa and you will be welcomed in a supportive and collaborative learning environment.

Description: 

• Prepare inspection plan
• Perform data acquisition missions on offshore units and ships
• Issue the corresponding reports in the agreed format
• Support trainee drone surveyors in developing their piloting skills
• Maintain equipment in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendation
• The employee shall comply with applicable legal requirements and Bureau Veritas health & safety policies.
   

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. 
• Remote pilot certificate
• At least 2 years of experience in piloting caged drones in marine and offshore environments; Experience with Flyability Elios 3 drone is a plus.
• UT measurements via drone experience preferred
• Having skills in piloting caged drones to collect visual and 3D data in GPS denied environments
• Basic understanding of ship and offshore structures; drone systems, and maintenance program
• Organization, rigor, enthusiasm for new technology, team collaboration, autonomy
• Fluent English communication with customers, and our internal teams
• Keen to travel offshore in Africa
• Ability to inspire and motivate team members.
• Good business acumen
