Operations
- The Lead AIM Engineer shall provide technical support to the AIM project team, and contribute to meet the Department Operational performance and objectives, in particular, he/she is responsible for the following:
- Managing and monitoring the delivery of AIM projects within the KPIs set out for cost, schedule and quality, as well as the timely issuance of deliverables and/or AIM quotations to address variation orders, and follow-up with clients. This may include assistance in sourcing new/additional resources for current and new services. The Lead AIM Engineer is responsible, together with relevant subject matter experts, to determine project execution plans, set work breakdown structures and deliverables/milestones as per project requirements to ensure profitability of the contract execution.
- Provides technical support to the AIM projects team as well as the BV Africa network (which may require travelling to Africa and Middel East on ad-hoc basis) and external clients in the field of Asset Integrity and Reliability, and he/she is responsible for the following activities:
Conduct OPEX studies such as:

- Remaining Life Assessment & Life Extension analysis,
- Fitness For Service (FFS) analysis according to relevant codes and standards as applicable,
- Support to Industry department for technical advisory/oversight/management of Advanced NDT and Advanced Inspection using latest technologies,
- Oversee/perform various consultancy activities in the field of Asset Integrity such Risk Assessments, RBI implementation, Structural Integrity Management, Pipeline Integrity Management, Failure Investigation, Damage Mechanisms Identification, Corrosion Management, etc.
- Participate in overall AIM strategy during CAPEX project phase.
Financial management
- The Lead AIM Engineer shall manage and establish strategies along with the TC Manager to meet the Department’s Financial performance and objectives.
Sales Performance
- The Lead AIM Engineer is responsible, in collaboration with Sales & Marketing, and support of TC Manager, to identify new potential clients and present the AIM services to new and existing clients and contributes to the sales strategies and growth of the AIM section and services, especially in OGC and P&U markets.
- To attend sales follow up meetings, provide feedback on current projects progress, opportunities and leads.
Resources
- The Lead Asset Integrity Management (AIM) Engineer leads a team of multidisciplinary engineers and specialists, and is responsible amongst other to:
- Provide inputs to the TC Manager for the Training Plan of AIM engineers, identify competency needs & trainings.
- Participate in identifying external resources, propose candidates, attend interviews, contribute to support the HR department in the recruitment and onboarding of new staff,
- Assist in establishing a strong sub-contractor network to supplement team and expand services,
- Provide technical leadership to the AIM Engineers during CAPEX and OPEX phase of the projects,
- Ensure there is transfer of knowledge and skills in the AIM Department to assist with succession planning,
- Monitor AIM resource time and activity, and review + approve AIM resource timesheets accordingly.
QHSE
- The Lead AIM Engineer shall support and contribute to meet the Industry Department Quality & HSSE performance and objectives.
