A competitive remuneration package is being offered for the right candidate. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Performing Classification-, Statutory- and Cargo Gear- surveys
Reporting to the South and East Africa District Manager, based in Durban.
- The ideal candidate would have excellent knowledge of ship design and construction, ship repair, maintenance and operations and a good understanding of classification and statutory requirements. You should be a Sea Going Engineer or Graduate Marine or Mechanical Engineer or Naval Architect and have worked in one or more of the following positions:
- Classification Society Surveyor
- Seagoing Engineer
- Technical Superintendent
- Ship repair / New-buildings Supervisor
- Consultant Surveyor
Fluency in spoken and written English is essential. Fluency in spoken and written French and/or Portuguese would also be of benefit and preference would be given to such candidates. You must be a South African citizen or permanent resident in South Africa. International travel and assignments abroad will be also required.
A competitive salary package is available, dependent upon qualifications and experience. Training will be provided.
