FIELD INSPECTOR 1

Bureau Veritas Namibia is looking for Field Inspector for the Metals and Minerals division. This position is based in Walvis Bay Port. The incumbent main responsibilities will be monitoring and reporting on findings as per SOP on each specific area and to report any such finding.

• Grade 12
• 2-5 Years’ experience
• Knowledge of harbors operational activities
• Strong numerical skills

Main Responsibilities

• Monitoring and ensuring that all SOP’s are maintained and adhered to in all areas.
• Ensuring to adhere to all safety guidelines set forth by site owner.
• Reporting any safety guidelines violations.
• Ensure all PPE requirements are met.
• To submit reports on a daily basis accurately.
• Adhere to stop work authority when needed.
• Follow my 2 minutes safety procedure according to standard.

Accountabilities

• Observation of site areas assigned and reporting on daily site activities
• Compliance to Area SOP’s.
• Performing of any other duties when required.
• 3 Absolutes to be the main focus at all times.
• Focus daily on specific jobs to be done with working hours.

Knowledge, Key Skills & Experience

• MMT Onsite Sampling.
• Previous experience in a Supervisory role working with operational activities.
