POSITION OVERVIEW
- Bureau Veritas is seeking an experienced Sales & Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth and market expansion for our Certification Department in Thailand. This role is pivotal in identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding our certification services portfolio across Thailand's growing industrial and commercial sectors.
- The successful candidate will combine strong sales acumen with deep understanding of certification services, leveraging Bureau Veritas's global expertise to capture market opportunities and build lasting client relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development & Market Expansion
- Identify and evaluate new market opportunities in Thailand's certification and compliance sectors
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to expand certification service offerings
- Research market trends, competitor activities, and emerging client needs
- Conduct market analysis to inform pricing strategies and service positioning
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads and prospects
- Create and deliver compelling business proposals and presentations to prospective clients
Sales & Client Acquisition
- Lead the sales process from initial prospecting through contract negotiation and closure
- Develop and implement targeted sales strategies for key industry segments (manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, automotive, food & beverage, etc.)
- Achieve and exceed annual sales targets and revenue goals
- Manage sales metrics and KPIs; provide regular reporting on pipeline, conversion rates, and revenue
- Negotiate contracts and terms with clients to ensure mutual benefit and profitability
- Close deals and secure long-term client commitments
Strategic Partnerships & Stakeholder Management
- Build and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, industry associations, and government bodies
- Develop strategic partnerships with complementary service providers and industry organizations
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities
- Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts; ensure exceptional client experience
- Collaborate with certification auditors and technical teams to understand service capabilities and limitations
- Engage with government agencies and regulatory bodies to stay informed of certification requirements
Certification Services Expertise
- Develop deep knowledge of Bureau Veritas's certification service offerings (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, industry-specific certifications, etc.)
- Understand Thai regulatory requirements and certification standards
- Educate clients on the value and benefits of certification services
- Explain certification processes, timelines, and costs to prospective clients
- Coordinate with the Certification Department to ensure service delivery aligns with client expectations
- Identify opportunities to develop new or enhanced certification services based on market demand
Team Collaboration & Internal Coordination
- Collaborate with the Certification Manager and auditing team on service delivery and client satisfaction
- Work with Marketing to develop promotional materials and campaigns
- Coordinate with Operations to ensure smooth project delivery and client onboarding
- Share market insights and customer feedback with leadership and product development teams
- Support training and knowledge-sharing sessions on certification services
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
Revenue Growth & Business Performance
- Contribute to achieving departmental and company revenue targets
- Identify opportunities to increase contract value through upselling and cross-selling
- Develop pricing strategies that balance competitiveness with profitability
- Track and analyze sales performance metrics; identify areas for improvement
- Prepare regular business development reports for management review
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sales effectiveness
Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis
- Monitor competitor activities and market positioning
- Track emerging trends in certification and compliance requirements
- Identify regulatory changes that may impact certification demand
- Report market insights to leadership to inform strategic planning
- Stay current with industry developments and best practices.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, or related field
- Professional certification in sales, business development, or project management (preferred)
Professional Experience
- Minimum 5–7 years of sales and business development experience
- 3+ years of experience in certification, compliance, inspection, or related services industry
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Experience developing and executing business development strategies
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining client relationships
- Experience in B2B sales, particularly in industrial or technical services
Technical Knowledge
- Strong understanding of quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
- Knowledge of Thai regulatory requirements and certification standards
- Familiarity with inspection, testing, and certification services industry
- Understanding of certification processes and timelines
- Knowledge of Bureau Veritas services and industry standards (preferred)
