Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to oversee all contractual and commercial aspects of a large-scale hyperscale data center project in Thailand. This role will support the Project Manager and act as a key interface between the client, contractors, and consultants to ensure that all contractual obligations are effectively managed and protected.

The Contract Manager will be responsible for contract administration, claims management, cost control, and dispute resolution, ensuring that the project is delivered in alignment with contractual terms, commercial objectives, and risk mitigation strategies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the contract administration of the project in accordance with contract conditions (e.g., FIDIC or equivalent)
  • Review, interpret, and manage all contractual documents, ensuring compliance by all parties
  • Manage and administer variations, change orders, and contractual correspondence
  • Review and evaluate contractor claims, including extension of time (EOT) and cost claims, and provide recommendations
  • Support the preparation and issuance of Engineer’s instructions, notices, and formal communications
  • Monitor and ensure proper record-keeping and documentation to support contractual positions
  • Work closely with the cost consultant and project team on payment applications and certification processes
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual and commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle
  • Lead and support dispute resolution processes, including negotiation and settlement strategies
  • Advise the Project Manager and senior stakeholders on contractual entitlements, obligations, and risks
  • Ensure alignment between contractual commitments and project execution (schedule, cost, scope)
  • Participate in progress meetings and provide contractual advice on project issues
  • Support project closeout, including final account settlement and contract completion

 

Key Competencies & Experience:

  • Minimum 8–12 years of experience in contracts management, commercial management, or quantity surveying
  • Proven experience in large-scale construction or infrastructure projects, preferably data centers or mission-critical facilities
  • Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and international standard forms of contract
  • Demonstrated experience in claims management, variation evaluation, and dispute resolution
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, cost control, and project delivery lifecycle
  • Experience in Thailand or Southeast Asia, with familiarity with local contractual and regulatory practices
  • Exposure to complex MEP/technical projects is a strong advantage
