Position Overview
A critical technical role responsible for managing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in complex data centre environments, ensuring optimal infrastructure performance, reliability, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Management
- Oversee MEP systems design, installation, and maintenance
- Conduct comprehensive technical assessments of data centre infrastructure
- Develop and implement technical standards and protocols
- Manage critical infrastructure performance and reliability
- Ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulations
System Monitoring & Optimization
- Implement advanced monitoring systems for:
- Cooling infrastructure
- Power distribution
- Electrical systems
- Backup power solutions
- Perform predictive and preventive maintenance
- Analyse system performance data
- Recommend technological improvements
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain detailed technical documentation
- Ensure adherence to international data center standards
- Prepare technical reports and presentations
- Manage risk assessment processes
- Support certification and audit requirements
Qualifications
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Advanced certification in Data Centre Infrastructure Management (DCIM)
- Professional engineering license preferred
Technical Competencies
- Comprehensive knowledge of:
- Data centre infrastructure design
- HVAC systems
- Electrical distribution
- Redundancy and failover systems
- Energy efficiency principles
- Proficiency in:
- AutoCAD
- BIM software
- DCIM tools
- Technical modelling software
Professional Skills
- Advanced problem-solving capabilities
- Strong analytical thinking
- Excellent communication skills
- Project management expertise
- Risk management understanding
Required Experience
- 5-7 years in data centre technical operations
- Proven track record in infrastructure management
- Experience with mission-critical environments
Technical Certifications
- Tier III/IV Data Centre Design certification
- BICSI Certified Data Centre Design Consultant
- Green Data Centre Professional certification
- CDCDP (Certified Data Centre Design Professional)

Reporting Structure
- Reports to Director of Technical Operations
- Collaborates with IT, Facilities, and Engineering teams
Working Conditions
