Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) that accurately reflect the sequence and duration of construction activities.
- Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and trade contractors to obtain input on task durations, resource requirements, and interdependencies.
- Identify critical path activities and monitor progress to proactively address potential delays or bottlenecks.
- Regularly update schedules to reflect changes in scope, resource availability, or external factors, and communicate these updates to the project team.
- Analyze schedule performance and provide reports on project progress, milestones, and potential risks.
- Participate in project planning meetings and provide scheduling expertise to support decision-making.
- Implement and maintain effective change management processes to ensure schedule integrity.
- Identify opportunities for schedule optimization and recommend process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction planning and scheduling.
- Proficient in the use of scheduling software, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and resource requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with project stakeholders.
- Ability to think critically, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Familiarity with project management principles and best practices.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is preferred.
