Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret architectural, structural, and civil engineering drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Collaborate with the project team, including architects, engineers, and construction managers, to coordinate the design and construction process.
- Perform structural calculations and analysis to ensure the structural integrity of the building.
- Develop detailed construction drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and details, for various building components.
- Coordinate with local authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals for the project.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to design plans, building codes, and safety standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team, addressing any design-related issues that arise during the construction phase.
- Review and approve shop drawings, product submittals, and other technical documentation from subcontractors.
- Participate in project meetings, site visits, and progress reviews to ensure the project is progressing as planned.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and project closeout materials.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architecture.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the design and construction of commercial, residential, or buildings.
- Proficient in the use of CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar, for the development of construction drawings.
- Familiarity with building codes, standards, and regulations applicable to the project location.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and coordinate with various project stakeholders.
