- Review and approve the Safety Management Plan submitted by the Contractor.
- To implement a structured & auditable Safety Management Plan at the Construction site and preventive measures against unsafe acts/procedures
- Review the safety training and implementation programs developed by the contractors, make appropriate changes, if necessary, to develop a comprehensive project safety program, and monitor the contractor’s adherence to such program.
- Regular inspection of work areas for adherence of the contractors to practice good housekeeping and participation in overall site cleanliness programs.
- Monitor safety records/statistics.
- Conduct safety review meetings.
- Monitor regular disposal of construction debris, trash, and waste by the contractors at proper off-site locations.
- Monitor that Contractors conduct regularly.
- Toolbox talks.
- Safety orientation of workers
- To make all efforts to monitor and apprehend any potential unsafe conditions or practices and provide guidance on safe work.
- Adherence to health and safety factors as well as environmental protection measures as stipulated from time to time by the Ministry of Environment & Forest, during construction and commissioning.
- Review and approval of Site Emergency Preparedness Plan.
- Review and approve the Safety Management Plan submitted by the Contractor.
