Position Overview
A critical role responsible for implementing, monitoring, and ensuring comprehensive safety standards and protocols during the construction and operational phases of chemical plant projects, focusing on preventing accidents and maintaining regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Safety Management
- Develop and implement robust safety management systems
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and safety audits
- Create and maintain safety protocols for chemical plant construction
- Ensure compliance with local and international safety regulations
- Develop emergency response and preparedness plans
Risk Assessment & Prevention
- Perform detailed hazard identification studies
- Analyse potential safety risks in chemical plant environments
- Implement proactive safety intervention strategies
- Conduct safety training programs
- Investigate and report on safety incidents
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure adherence to:
- OSHA standards
- Chemical safety regulations
- Environmental protection guidelines
- Industry-specific safety protocols
- Prepare comprehensive safety documentation
- Support certification and audit processes
Qualifications
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- Advanced safety certifications preferred
- Professional Safety Engineer certification

- Comprehensive knowledge of:
- Chemical plant safety protocols
- Hazardous material handling
- Process safety management
- Risk assessment methodologies
- Proficiency in safety management software
- Advanced understanding of chemical process safety

- 5-7 years in chemical plant or industrial safety
