Job Summary

Responsible for conducting draft surveys and onboard inspections to determine cargo quantity, verify cargo condition, and ensure compliance with international standards and client requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform draft survey calculations before/after loading & discharging
  • Take draft, ballast, and tank measurements accurately
  • Inspect cargo condition, loading/discharge operations onboard vessel
  • Witness sampling, weighing, and related inspection activities
  • Prepare and submit draft survey and inspection reports
  • Report discrepancies or abnormalities to clients and management
  • Coordinate with ship crew, terminal staff, and stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marine, Engineering, or related field
  • 1–3 years experience in draft survey / marine inspection (new graduates welcome for junior role)
  • Basic knowledge of draft survey calculation and vessel operation

Skills

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Good command of English (spoken & written)
  • Detail-oriented with high accuracy
  • Able to work flexible hours (shift / onboard schedule)
  • Willing to travel and work at ports nationwide

Preferred

  • Experience in bulk cargo (coal, minerals, ores)
  • Familiar with inspection standards (ISO, ASTM)
  • Background with inspection companies (BV, SGS, etc.)
