ADDITIVATION OPERATOR - UGANDA

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
The additivation operator is responsible for performing fuel additivation operations on road tankers at oil storage facility loading gantries.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manual Additivation
- Properly, timely, and accurately execute the actual physical additivation activity of each fuel tanker according to manual additivation operating mode and procedures.
- Confirm request for additivation from the client and request road tanker details from the driver (tank compartment calibration certificate, loading order, oil product grade to be loaded, quantity to be loaded per tank compartment).
- Transfer additive from the storage area to the loading gantry.
- Check for emptiness of tank compartments prior to additivation and loading.
- Determine additive quantity to be added for each tank compartment.
- Prepare additive doses for each tank compartment.
- Pour additive doses into tank compartments prior to loading.
- Fill the additivation form.
- After successful additivation, ensure that the depot representative and the tanker driver sign the additivation form.
- Release a signed and stamped copy of the marking form to the driver.
- Send a copy of the marking form to Bureau Veritas supervisor/coordinator.
- Confirm that all safety procedures are being followed and implemented.
Stock Count
- Perform inventory of additives in stock daily at depot opening and closing and calculate theoretical additive daily consumption.
- Determine total daily actual additive quantity added into road tankers.
- Reconcile theoretical and actual quantities.
- Report daily to Bureau Veritas Supervisor/coordinator.
General / Other Activities
- Report immediately any unusual activity or special event concerning the additivation process, such as spillages, disputes, or other issues, to the Supervisor/coordinator.
- Ensure that all policies, including those concerning health, safety, and environmental protection, are respected.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS
- School leaver.
- Three (3) years of relevant professional experience in the oil industry.
- Basic mathematics skills.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
