Are you highly organised, detail-driven, and eager to start a career in bidding? We’re looking for a Bid Assistant to join our growing team and play a key role in supporting high‑quality, compliant, and compelling bid submissions that help drive business growth.
This role is perfect for someone with a keen interest in writing, administration, or project coordination who is excited to learn and develop within a supportive, fast‑paced environment. As a Bid Assistant, you will work closely with the Bid Coordinator and wider team to ensure our bid processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supporting the management and upkeep of content and information libraries for future submissions.
- Maintaining 100% accuracy of standard information held in SharePoint and bid management systems.
- Completing standard bid documentation, including company information.
- Contributing to pre-selection and pre‑market engagement questionnaires.
- Assisting with layout and design of proposals and presentation materials, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
- Maintaining full compliance across bid and supplier portals.
- Supporting the Bid Coordinator in managing company accreditations.
- Helping maintain internal reporting tools such as bid trackers.
- Assisting with managing the shared Bid Mailbox and actioning incoming requests.
- Identifying opportunities to improve bid processes and implement best practices.
- Supporting internal projects and providing ad-hoc assistance across the Bid Team.
- Building positive relationships with internal stakeholders to support high‑quality submissions.Championing the Bid Team’s role across the company.
Experience and Skills required:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Entry level position with a keen interest in writing and the bidding process
- A team player and effective communicator, able to establish and maintain professional relationships
- Able to work on own initiative and deliver work to an exceedingly high standard
- Able to multi-task and work to tight deadlines
- Strong organisational and project coordination skills
- Flexible, results-oriented and keen to take responsibility
- Diligence and attention to detail
