Emergency Lighting Surveyor

Location: Dublin

Package: Up to €51,000 per annum - Salary between  €38,000 - €42,00 per annum DOE, €9,000 location allowance, €4,800 car allowance or company car

You could be working with some of the world’s most recognisable brands, helping to ensure compliance, improve safety and boost performance by completing examinations of emergency lighting systems. 

Guided by our long serving and experienced engineer surveyors and technical management you will be part of a team that really cares and wants to make the world a safer place. You will use Bureau Veritas’ in house reporting system to create best in class Emergency Lighting Condition Reports and logbooks. You will be a trusted adviser to high-profile clients and to deliver customer excellence, operating in the professional, friendly, and authoritative manner expected of all client-facing Bureau Veritas surveyors.


Responsibilities include:

  • To safely carry out high quality examination of emergency lighting systems primarily in the hospitality sector in line with agreed schedules
  • To produce and deliver inspection reports using Bureau Veritas’ best in class tools for on-site reporting and immediate client access
  • To act as an adviser to clients, colleagues and external bodies, providing technical and legislative advice where necessary
  • To deliver customer excellence, operating in the professional, friendly and authoritative manner expected of all client-facing Bureau Veritas engineers
  • To adhere with all relevant safety guidance and legislation.


Candidate requirements include:

  • Experience working on emergency lighting systems
  • Knowledge of current Standards I.S. 3217:2013 and A1:2017
  • Preferable apprentice served electrician
  • Hold a current driving license
