Inspection Manager
Remote – UK and European Travel
We are looking for an Inspection Manager to join our Major Programmes division and provide delivery management of inspection, quality assurance and fabrication management services for multi-million pound projects within the Clean Energy (Offshore Wind and Nuclear), Defence and Infrastructure sectors.
Working closely with the Senior Project Managers, you will be responsible for mobilising and oversight of contracts from a delivery perspective and travelling to various sites (national and international) to ensure Bureau Veritas representatives are providing excellent customer service and understanding of project requirements.
You will lead in the technical delivery during the mobilisation of projects, supporting project and quality management principles, and ensuring effective dissemination of Delivery Strategy throughout the Project Supply Chain.
You will help to deliver growth ambitions within the sectors by inputting to and drafting technical aspects of major proposals, supporting tender processes, and interacting with potential client stakeholders to win new work.
Working in close collaboration with Bureau Veritas’s extensive European and global networks, this role offers the opportunity to really shape our expanding business across South and West Europe.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone with excellent fabrication inspection and engineering experience in supply chain in either the offshore wind, nuclear, defence or oil & gas industry, and excellent working knowledge of manufacturing techniques, processes and standards.
You must have solid experience managing teams, and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and supply chain participants. You will have experience of managing a range of stakeholders and a successful track record of influencing and business development.
The ability to adopt a proactive, self-motivated approach to technical and non-technical work will be essential in this role and you will be expected to keep up to date with developments in engineering standards, legislation, and sector advances. As well as representing Bureau Veritas at external technical forums, thought leadership articles and industry events.
