Role: Senior DSEAR Risk & Safety Consultant

Role Purpose
The role is multifunctional so a broad base of experience in technical/process safety is required. You will be focused on the leading DSEAR service for the R&S team but also providing support on other R&S projects and should have general knowledge of industry structure, plant and equipment, operational realities, H&S regulations, business drivers in one or more industries we operate in.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
There are some key responsibilities that would be expected within certain roles. Below are core responsibilities that must be included:
- Contribute to delivery of DSEAR and other risk technical projects on time, within cost, and alongside customer satisfaction.
- Understand commercial realities, such as pricing, contract issues and have experience in tender and proposal writing for consulting services.
- Effective team worker, able to work efficiently within project teams across a broad range of technical disciplines.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including an ability to listen to client issues, and present clearly to both technical and non-technical staff and produce reports.
- Be responsive and proactive to opportunities to grow business – and requests for client work and proposals.
What does it take to apply?
Preferably a degree in Chemical Engineering or related subject or related extensive industry experience with an emphasis on technical safety engineering, ATEX and other H&S regulations.
Experience:
- DSEAR
- Risk Assessment
- Varied project experience (including audits)
Skills:
- You will have demonstrated skill in the application of safety management utilising:
- Knowledge of ATEX regulations
- Knowledge of H&S regulations
- Auditing experience
Personal attributes will include:
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong analytical and report writing skills
- Are willing to travel to meet client needs
