Design Verification Engineer – Pressure Equipment

We are growing our Pressure Equipment Design Verification team in the UK and are looking to recruit three design verification engineers to provide conformity assessment of pressure equipment to the latest PE(S)R, PED, ASME requirements.


Using your knowledge of the latest regulations and directives, you will work in partnership with clients to provide detailed assessment of their designs to ensure the safe design and manufacture of pressure equipment. Whether working to remove national technical barriers or developing bespoke solutions, you will combine insight, initiative and technical excellence to add value and provide quality consultancy services.


You will work closely with internal stakeholders, both within the UK and Europe, and be required to build strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels internally and within our client organisations. Externally you will also represent Bureau Veritas and at relevant standards committees and cross-industry groups.


Who we are looking for


We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with design review experience in PED, ASME piping and pressure vessel systems ideally with an Approved Body conformity assessment experience. You will need a good understanding of the latest regulations and standards (PD5500, ASME VIII Div 1. ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, BS EN 12079, EN 13445) and a proven technical understanding of pressure equipment.


Good communication skills are essential, as is the ability to write technical reports.
