  • Review, shape and challenge risk assessments, policies and safe systems of work
  • Lead and support incident response, investigations and learning where required
  • Influence and reinforce positive safety culture and behaviours
  • Maintain delivery within the agreed scope while managing expectations confidently
  • Escalate material risks or concerns through appropriate Bureau Veritas governance routes
  • Support assurance activity including audits, inspections and reviews
  • Deliver high‑quality reporting, documentation and insights
  • Engage regularly with BV line management and account leadership
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge‑sharing across the BV network

  • Experienced operating within large corporate, professional services or complex multi‑site environments
  • Comfortable providing senior‑level challenge and influence while maintaining strong rapport
  • Looking to make an immediate, hands‑on impact without a long‑term permanent commitment

Essential Experience & Qualifications

  • Chartered or working towards Chartered status (CMIOSH or equivalent)
  • Significant experience operating at a senior HSE level within complex organisations
  • Strong working knowledge of UK H&S legislation and recognised standards
  • Proven ability to operate autonomously in a high‑trust, embedded advisory role

  • Lead Auditor qualification (ISO 45001 / ISO 14001)
  • Background in large corporate, regulated or multi‑site environments
  • Understanding of human factors, safety culture or organisational performance

  • Exposure to a complex corporate environment with real influence and autonomy
  • Competitive salary and excellent benefits package, including:

    • Life assurance
    • Professional membership fees covered
    • Enhanced maternity & paternity leave
    • 25 days holiday + bank holidays (with buy/sell options)
