Role Purpose

The role of Senior Health & Safety Consultant is to lead the deployment and maintenance of the health and safety management system and being the primary point of contact for the client across the client’s global office portfolio. We are seeking candidates who will join us in delivering best in class health and safety services to our client, a leading global financial firm.  You will need to be driven, proactive, customer centric and solutions focused, and seek to learn, develop and grow both technical and soft skills.

 

We are not looking for someone that is happy ‘ticking the box’. You must be bold and capable of identifying areas for improvement, challenging the approach where required and proposing the solution. Experience of engaging with leadership is essential, as is the ability to negotiate change. You will not need to have intimate knowledge of international H&S legislation, but you must be capable of reactive research and understanding of legislative implementation, with a willingness to learn the legislative requirements for all countries under the role’s responsibility.

 

 

What will you need to succeed in this role?

  • Level 6 health and safety qualification, such as the National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
  • Demonstrable experience in full time H&S roles with exposure to a broad spectrum of health and safety management systems
  • CMIOSH is essential 
  • Extensive UK H&S Legislation knowledge and experience in practical implementation
  • Procedure and report writing
  • Accident and incident investigations and reports, including investigating incidents falling under RIDDOR
  • Exposure to a variety of safety and health risks
  • Liaison with a broad range of stakeholders at all levels of an organisation
  • Data and trend analysis
  • Degree in H&S or related desirable
  • Experience of international H&S legislation, ISO 45001, asbestos, water hygiene and construction all beneficial.
