Senior Health and Safety Advisor (UK & Ireland)

Location: Central London – Office-based for a minimum of 3 days per week

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

The Role

As the Senior Health and Safety Advisor, you will:

  • Take charge of the health and safety management system for UK and Ireland offices, acting as the go-to expert.
  • Drive meaningful changes with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset, ensuring compliance with regulations and client standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to foster a strong culture of safety.
  • Go beyond box-ticking, tackling challenges with bold problem-solving, proposing innovative improvements, and delivering sustainable results.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead health and safety initiatives, conduct risk assessments, and ensure full regulatory compliance.
  • Manage incident investigations and handle regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Play a critical role in audits, inspections, and supporting the setup of new office sites.
  • Create and present essential reports, data analysis, and environmental health and safety (EHS) insights.
  • Liaise with vendors and contractors, guaranteeing seamless service delivery.
  • Contribute to global health and safety programmes while participating in internal and external audits.

What we’re looking for

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of a Level 3 health and safety qualification, with progress towards Level 6.
  • Proven experience in health and safety roles, with a confident and engaging communication style.
  • Tech IOSH membership, working towards Grad IOSH as a minimum (Grad IOSH preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset, and a collaborative, approachable work style.
  • The ability to work independently and confidently engage with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
