About the Role
We are looking for experienced Commercial Finance Analyst to support finance business partnering day-to-day activities and across UKR divisions including monthly forecasting, reporting, and driving gross margin improvements. This includes investigation of cost and revenue variances across the divisions.
Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Senior Finance Business Partner across UKR divisions in driving gross margin improvements across all areas of the business.
- Completion of the month end close for business units and identifying and implementing improvements in the processes.
- Calculation of direct cost accruals and accrued income.
- Producing and reviewing monthly divisional Contract Profitability performance with operations. Partnering with Operational and Commercial Management to provide first level of review and query resolution
- Providing sound analysis at a divisional level on areas of controllable cost, for example, Travel spend.
- Ensuring costs & recharges are allocated accurately between business units.
- Assisting all divisions with the development of new tools / KPI’s to move the business forward and improve profitability and efficiency.
- Post-month end review and analysis to assist in decision making for business leaders. Using insights to drive operational performance.
- Reviewing financial tenders and pricing across the businesses to drive margin performance.
- Understanding of capacity and utilisation relating to business unit resource, helping to drive improvements.
- Review of financial controls and processes to improve accuracy and efficiencies.
- Supporting the annual budget process for business units and monthly / quarterly financial forecasts for the divisions (FP&A).
Experience & Skills Required:
- Critical thinking skills and an analytical approach
- Proficient IT literacy (advanced MS Excel including PALO, Tableau, BI, Access desirable)
- Excellent communication skills
Qualifications Required:
- Educated to degree level in a related discipline
- Part Qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA
