Health, Safety & Asbestos Consultant

About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Health, Safety & Asbestos Consultant to join our growing team at Bureau Veritas. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys combining general Health & Safety consultancy with specialist asbestos expertise, helping clients stay compliant, manage risk, and create safer working environments.

You’ll work closely with a variety of clients, providing practical, high-quality advice and becoming a trusted partner in their safety journey.


What You’ll Be Doing

In this varied and dynamic role, you will:

✅ Provide expert Health & Safety advice tailored to client needs
✅ Support and develop H&S policies, procedures, and safe systems of work
✅ Carry out risk assessments, audits, and site inspections
✅ Assist with incident investigations and recommend improvements
✅ Deliver asbestos-specific advice and ensure compliance with regulations
✅ Produce accurate asbestos survey reports and documentation
✅ Act as a key point of contact for asbestos risk and management queries
✅ Build strong client relationships and represent Bureau Veritas professionally


What We’re Looking For

 

Essential:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Experience in a Health & Safety advisory or operational role
  • Personable, Proactive, professional, and solutions-focused mindset
  • BOHS P402 (or equivalent asbestos surveying qualification)
  • Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety and asbestos legislation

 

Desirable (but not essential):

  • NEBOSH Diploma (or working towards)
  • BOHS P405 qualification
  • IOSH membership (or working towards Chartered status)
  • Experience in consultancy or client-facing environments
