Fire Safety Consultant



We are looking for an experienced Fire Safety Consultant to join our Fire Life safety team delivering high-quality, best in class services to a broad range of clients, sectors and environments.


What the role involves


  • Delivery of high-quality, best in class services including Fire Risk Assessments, Fire Safety Audits, Fire Management Strategies, Fire Door Surveys, Passive Protection Surveys, Fire & Emergency Plans, Fire Safety Consultancy, Fire Safety, Fire Warden and Associated Training Delivery, Occupancy calculations and surveys
  • Applying client specific scope and deliverable requirements to activity and outputs
  • Developing skills and knowledge aligned to the delivery of new and evolved services
  • Technical Project Management and oversight of service delivery to key clients
  • Execute and complete assignments on time and aligned to Bureau Veritas standards
  • Ensuring reports are technically correct, demonstrating knowledge, experience and sound understanding of legislation, standards and best practice
  • Support the development of tenders and proposals
  • Undertaking quality control of fire safety reports
  • Maintain technical knowledge and current trends in Fire Safety
  • Compliance with the Bureau Veritas UK Health & Safety policy and procedures, Management System and divisional methods and procedures.

 Qualifications and Experience  


  • European Diploma in Fire Safety (preferred)
  • NEBOSH Fire Safety and Management Certificate
  • MIFSM, MIFPO or GIFireE or above
  • Extensive technical understanding of the implementation of fire safety legislation and technical standards e.g. BS9999
  • Previous risk assessment experience combined with demonstrating the skills and knowledge to conduct Tier 2 risk assessments
  • Liaison with a broad range of stakeholders at all levels of an organisation, including Senior Management
  • Training Delivery
