Position Summary
Responsible for financial planning and analysis function for the Buffalo testing and Americas IAA activity.
Objective
Support senior management by providing high-level quality financial reporting and analysis that will enable the executive team and the North America VP of Operations to make optimal decisions related to the company strategy, the BV business model and the maximization of profits.
Major Roles & Responsibilities
- Coordinate financial statements for monthly close, including analysis of results and presentation to management.
- Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting of monthly management information.
- Develop and manage forecast and annual budgets.
- Work with local management and staff for ongoing analysis and improvement actions.
- Perform regular cost and productivity analyses.
- Prepare recommendations for improvement of financial performance.
- Continually and proactively monitor and identify changes in the financial information reporting.
- Analyze and interpret information, monitor costs, highlight variances.
- Plan all necessary tasks to ensure that deadlines are met.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Self Motivated and self managed with high degree of honesty and integrity
- Effective team leader with the ability to motivate and engage the team
- Must possess excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook. Strong Excel skill level required.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential information
- Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
- Ability to perform multiple tasks
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Individual and team work ethic
- Possess an energetic commitment to work and quality.
- International experience: previously dealt with a global business model, a plus.
Experience and Educational Background Required for the Job
- 4 year degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field
- 2 years related experience.
- CPA certification a plus
- JD Edwards experience a plus.
