Execute Bureau Veritas Infrastructure Business Development Strategy with goals to increase BVNA Nationwide market share for our services.  Our specific needs at this time include sales professionals capable of effectively communicating Bureau Veritas’ advantages and selling the following services to the listed target markets:

  • QA Oversight for Bridge Construction and Major Infrastructure Projects.  Target markets include the DOT, P3, Design/Build, EPC, and Major Infrastructure Contractor markets.
  • QA Oversight for Bridge Construction Projects, Railway Expansion/Improvement Projects, New Railcar Builds, Component Replacement Orders, and Freight Car Leasing Inspections.  Target markets include Transit Agencies; Class 1, Regional, and Short Line Railroads; Rail Car Owners/lessees/Lessors; EPC’s and Major Rail Contractors.
  • Robotic NDT Services.  Target markets include Public Infrastructure / DOT / P3 / markets along with robotic wire rope inspection to owners of broadcast towers, cranes, amusement industry, cable-supported roofs, and other critical wire rope applications that require periodic inspection to assure safety and reliability. 
  • Prior experience with sales of these services or sales of related services to these markets is required.
  • Drive all business development activities including creating/ submitting service tenders, and provide general oversight of project execution in coordination with the technical team
  • Directly Manage assigned Key Client Accounts, with end result of increasing organic sales and revenue growth
  • Anticipate and coordinate presentation of related BV services with other business lines
  • Support marketing activities in North America such as attendance and participation in conferences



  • Fully understand client organization, their business model, goals and strategies (including leadership personnel, key initiatives, news and financials) to drive business development activities. Ensure alignment of BVNA resources with client needs and expectations to realize client satisfaction.
  • Fully accountable to create/ maintain/ deliver “Project Pipeline Reports” to Executive Leadership and Operations.
  • Ensure market alignment metrics are achieved and soft issues are managed effectively.
  • In coordination with Marketing and Sales and Operations leadership, develop and manage the sale of “New Services” to targeted/ assigned existing accounts. The KPI will be achievement of incremental sales as defined in the BV sales plan and relevant fiscal year budget
  • Coordinates with Business Line Management teams to develop and implement “Win” strategies for targeted accounts. 
  • Manage the bookings for assigned accounts including accurate revenue forecasting and budgeting.
  • Interface with clients to continuously calibrate their expectations with BVNA performance and resolve or escalate issues that do not meet client expectations.
  • Identify and coordinate the development of additional BVNA services offerings to fully maximize BVNA’s engagement with the client.
  • Manage price negotiation, discounts, contracts, RFP’s between client and BVNA related parties.
  • Collect, monitor and disseminate data on sourcing and/or market trends along with client needs to feedback to the operations team.
  • Monitor, identify and communicate to relevant parties any risk or opportunities based on continuous review of the health of the account.
  • Ensure creation and execution of quarterly account reviews.
  • Manage client meetings and presentations along with participating in training seminars and/or tradeshows.
  • Maintaining account activates in BVNA CRM system (Accounts, Opportunities, Contacts, etc.).



  • Implement the strategy and win new contracts
  • Achieve assigned sales quota and budgeted revenue in designated national accounts.
  • Meets assigned standard/ target for profitability.
  • Develops and executes client account plans that meet strategic objectives.



  • Reports to the Vice President of Operations, Transportation & Infrastructure Business Line
  • Enlists the support of Operations Managers, Marketing support and other BD Managers as needed.
  • Closely coordinates company executive involvement with client management.
  • Works within the assigned customer base to ensure client satisfaction and problem resolution.



  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, transportation or related areas
  • MBA or marketing degree is a plus
  • Minimum of five years of business development experience including bid management in the Infrastructure / DOT / P3 market; rail/transit experience with delivery of engineering services, project management, QHSE, and work supervision a plus.
  • Proven ability to successfully present business, technical and financial information to senior managements and clients - strong communication skills required.
  • Leadership and Teamwork - Ability to interface and effectively work with various groups and cultures involved (partners, government, agencies, contractors, operations, etc.), and gain alignment to achieve objectives.
  • Road Warrior - ability to travel to client sites 50% or more of the time.


IT/IS Capabilities:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of IS software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, document and database software (MS Office, Excel, Access, Adobe Acrobat). Advanced capabilities with Excel and CRM systems required; familiarity with (Deltek) ERP preferred.



  • An employee in this position typically works in an office environment with controlled climate. This position requires extensive travel (air, auto, rail) to client offices and job sites.
  • Physical Demands:
    • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and work with computer systems for extended periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 20 pounds. The vision requirements include: ability to adjust focus, distance vision and close vision.
