Background: 

Global Clinical Sciences conducts many studies in which we capture digital images of study subjects at various time points. It is critical to have these images captured in a quality way with subjects photographed in exactly the same manner at each visit. This requires image operators with strong interpersonal and photographic skills, as well as a good understanding of digital imaging. We hope to identify several candidates to manage our image collection process at clinical sites, process the images and archive them after the completion of the study.

 

Scope of Work: 

Candidate will become a trained & qualified image operator, having the ability to manage imaging equipment set up and troubleshooting and capture high quality images of subjects across several different imaging platforms. Image operator will interact with study subjects during imaging visits at clinical research sites in the Cincinnati area and in other cities across the US, with the potential to travel to international study sites. After capturing study images, operator will complete post processing and archiving of all study images.

 

Necessary Skill Set:

  • Digital imaging/photography skills
  • Physical ability to conduct imaging sessions several hours in length over consecutive days
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to interact and work well with the general public and put study subjects at ease during imaging sessions
  • Basic photographic skills, maintain quality and consistency of image capture, being attentive to detail
  • Good understanding of digital imaging, e.g., file types, resolution, manipulation; able to post process images (cropping, masking, color standardization, etc.) for analysis
  • Willing to travel to conduct imaging sessions (domestic and international) – typical studies require imaging sessions every 2 – 4 weeks over a period of 3 months, studies routinely run throughout calendar year, heaviest work load during the winter months
  • Advanced Computer literacy
  • General understanding of advanced Windows OS features

 

Anticipated Hours and Length of Assignment:

  • Image Operator Trainee: 1 - 2 months, 15 hours/week at minimum with some weeks >40 hours/week during study execution (ideal candidate will need to be flexible as work hours will vary due to studies spread out through out the year)
  • Qualified Image Operator: ongoing assignment, 20 hours/week minimum with some weeks >40 hours during study execution (ideal candidate will need to be flexible as work hours will vary due to studies spread out through out the year)
