Location and Schedule:

  • Located in Mason, OH
  • Schedule changes bi-weekly depending on the studies. Flexibility between Mon-Fri work hours is required. 
  • Average of 20 hours a week

What You'll Do:

  • Housekeeping (cleaning, managing expired material, laundry), checking supplies, sample preparation, lab setup for study, labeling, managing ballots, data tabulation, and documenting room/water conditions.
  • Ensures there are adequate supplies for the panelists to properly do their tasks. Tells personnel of needed items or supplies (such as cleaning products, chemicals, etc.) before they run out, or needed maintenance or repairs of the sensory labs.
  • Ensures samples are prepared and ready for evaluation by the sensory panelists.
  • Ensures the right order or sequencing of presentation of samples (including randomization to minimize order bias), when the order of evaluation is important.
  • Assign blinding codes to test samples to ensure panelist objectivity.
  • Supplies copies of methodology and scorecards or ballots to sensory panelists.
  • Programs systems based on standard methods.

  • Previous experience in working with consumer products is a plus
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office 365 – experience with Excel is required
  • Touch typing for debriefs
  • Ability to learn how to use balances correctly, fill syringes, dispense product, etc.
  • Overseeing basic questions around Eye Question under the direction of the leader
  • Technical curiosity is preferred
