Construction Technology Administrator - Job Description 

Bureau Veritas North America – Power group is seeking a Construction Technology Administrator to join our fast-growing team in Dallas, Texas. The company provides owner’s representation, preconstruction management and consulting services to the utility-scale renewable-energy markets, including the wind, solar, battery energy storage and transmission sectors.

Compensation:  

  • Salary, exempt 

  • $80,000 - $90,000 per year

Qualifications: 

  • Four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field 

  • Three to five years of IT systems administration experience, helpdesk experience, or a combination of related, similar experience 

  • Familiarity with construction management technology and related applications such as Autodesk Construction Cloud (or older versions Autodesk Build or Field) or Procore is preferred 

  • Highly-organized and detail oriented, with excellent follow-through 

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion, and manage sensitive information  

  • Communicate professionally, effectively, and timely (both oral and written) 

  • Self-motivated to complete tasks with ability to adapt to quickly changing priorities 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Proficient in Windows system administration, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Box, OneDrive, Teams, and similar enterprise software 

 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Champion operations of Autodesk and other Construction Project Management systems/tools used by the BV Power group (e.g. Procore) including the administration, management, and troubleshooting of project environments based in these systems/tools 

  • Onboard new users and establish proper access control levels in systems/tools, for both internal and external stakeholders 

  • Train and mentor application users, including creation of new training materials and work instructions, as well as updating training materials and providing additional training for new versions and features of applicable software to both internal and external stakeholders 

  • Setup new projects and assist site or field teams with managing the project and all related project data archives through the life of a project 

  • Manage, organize, and secure our digital and physical records for consistency across the company 

  • Monitor system use to ensure site teams are using the tool correctly and efficiently 

  • Act as primary escalation point regarding all end-user questions related to system/tool issues or support requests, for both internal and external stakeholders 

  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to all Power group users for all straightforward IT-related issues, including assisting with onboarding processes (e.g. provisioning equipment and software, initial user setup and training, etc.) and deliver ongoing support to project site teams 

  • Take point assisting with escalated internal IT/helpdesk issues for the group, including acting as a technical liaison between Corporate IT teams and group members 

  • Collaborate with vendor system/tool support departments for reporting and remediation of issues encountered with their respective systems/tools 

  • Automate processes wherever possible through standardized workflows, templates, procedures, and other means 

  • Collaborate with Corporate IT teams and other BV development teams to help make Project Management systems better 

  • Stay current with emerging technology and software changes that may affect the BV Power group and help update internal operating policies, procedures, and guidelines accordingly
