Job Overview and Responsibilities:



Successful candidate will achieve maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling the company’s Onsite Laboratory services. Personally contacts and secures new business accounts/customers.

 

Primary responsibilities include the following (but are not limited to):

 

  • Accountable for profitable sales to new and existing accounts within strategic targets of the Canadian Onsite Laboratory market.
  • Establish and execute on tangible sales plans that detail specific markets, addressable market opportunities, specific targets, influential positioning and tactics.
  • Identify, leverage and plan utilization of specific communication channels that will effectively influence the target market(s), including: personal selling strategies and collateral, digital communication, customer education events, tradeshows and conferences, advertising and relationship enhancement activities.
  • Plan and work collaboratively with Director, Onsite Laboratory Operations and Business Development Manager, Oil & Gas to prepare responses to significant RFPs and RFQs and lead the “bid desk” process. Conduct follow-up as required.
  • Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
  • Develop a schedule for proactive engagement with customers on their list of clients. The focus will be on face-to-face meetings with clients, along with interaction via telephone or email.
  • Represent Bureau Veritas Laboratories by being an ambassador of the brand at conferences, workshops, trade association meetings and other industry networking events.

 

Is there a mutual fit? You ideally have:

 

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience selling services. Experience within the Petrochemical & Industrial Manufacturing industries would be an asset.
  • Suitable candidate must be comfortable with cold calling, pursuing leads from social media campaigns and proactively searching for new business.
  • Willingness to regularly travel throughout their assigned region.
  • Post-secondary education in a related discipline to our industry (i.e. Sciences) would be an asset.
  • Bilingual would be considered an asset
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and contact management software
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Results-driven, action-oriented and energetic

 

Compensation:

  • Base salary + Commission

Experience:

  • Sales: 4 years (Required)
  • Salesforce: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Experience within the Petrochemical & Industrial Manufacturing industries (Asset)
