About the Role:

The Bureau Veritas team seeks to hire and develop top talent in the Testing, Inspection and Certification industry. Every role has a critical mission in Shaping a World of Trust. For this role the incumbent will be tasked with the mission below:

The Mission:

  • Provide HR consultation and support to managers in the following areas: talent development, performance management, employee relations, compensation, organizational effectiveness, recruiting (e.g. job offers, visas, internal transfers, relocations, etc.) and change management.
  • Proactively identify the need for employee learning and development, retention strategies, succession planning and career development.
  • Advise managers and staff on key company/HR initiatives including cyclical processes (annual performance review, merit increases, promotions, etc.), policies and procedures, and employment laws. Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Proactively identify opportunities/issues and developing HR solutions by using data analytics to enhance employee learning and development, retention, succession planning, and career development efforts.

Definition of Success

The success of this role will be defined by:

  • Leverage and understand the entire talent management system and each stage of the life-cycle and apply that understanding to create integrated solutions that are thoughtful and reinforced corresponding talent programs.
  • Provide consultative talent strategy for client groups being supported.
  • Consult and facilitate all of the performance and development initiatives including
  • employee relations.


The incumbent must posses the following competencies to be successful in this role:

  • Speaks and writes clearly and articulately.
  • Plans, organizes, schedules, and budgets in an efficient, productive manner.
  • Strong listening skills, having the ability to listen and seek understanding of others' viewpoints
  • Self-Motivated - ability to work independently and act without being micro-managed, while bringing new ideas to the company


What you will bring:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years experience as an HR generalist
  • Experience conducting and executing employee development plans
  • Minimum 3 years Employee Relations experience
  • General understanding of compensation and benefits strategy


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience VISA/Immigration processes and regulations
  • Experience in the Testing/Inspection/Certification industry
  • SHRM or HRCI certification
