About the Role

The Purchasing Manager will report to the Director of Procurement and must provide continuous learning and development of knowledge and understand of procurement methods, commodities, and service categories, general business conditions to drive innovation and continuous improvement. Provide training and day-to-day support on procurement systems, policy and processes for business unit, procurement team, and/or corporate staff involved in purchasing activities. Adhere to, and monitor compliance with, company procurement policies and procedures and transact all business with the highest standards of integrity, ethics and professional conduct. Work in close coordination with the other team members within BV to leverage company-wide synergies and relationships with key suppliers. Resolve accounts payable issues. WorkflowWise, Goods Receipts, Purchase order maintenance, etc. Actively participate and contribute to cross-functional project teams on business improvement projects and initiatives, special projects and other duties. 

 

The main services provided by the Purchasing Department include:

  • Purchasing leadership
  • Reporting and analysis

How Success will be defined:

 

To be successful, the candidate must accomplish the following:

The role will be evaluated based on the following:

  • Savings Targets
  • People / Team Development Targets
  • Percentage of spend pushed to preferred/contracted suppliers

 

What you will bring:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain required
  • 3-5+ years’ experience as a purchasing manager
  • Ability to prioritize workload, provide solutions, and navigate through complex structure, systems, and processes
  • Experience with ERP and cloud-based accounting systems
  • Established and detail-orientated high energy self-starter with experience working in a hands-on environment
  • Experience identifying and documenting areas for improvement and implementation of more effective and efficient processes and controls
  • Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining a high ownership of work product and commitment
  • Keen analytical, organizational, project management and problem-solving skills
  • Expert or advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to thrive on an inclusive, collaborative, remote team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Desire to learn and grow in a large multinational company

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with JDE ERP system (preferred)
  • Experience using Tableau
  • Advanced Excel
  • Process Improvement
